These pictures are from a day that Rick and I spent skiing at Vail in early February.
Conditions were perfect – 8 inches of fresh powder had fallen the day before; the sun was shining;
and best of all it was Superbowl Sunday (sort of a US equivalent of the Currie Cup rugby final),
so everyone was at home watching the game on TV, and the slopes were deserted.
