Alex skiing at Breckenridge.  We spent a weekend here at the start of December, courtesy of Martin's employer.

Just before Christmas we were hit with a blizzard that dumped two feet of snow.  Everything was shut down for a couple of days – interstate highways, the airport, schools, offices, even the shopping malls.

Alex and our freshly-shovelled driveway.  Note the letterbox poking out of the snowdrift.

As soons as the highways re-opened we headed for Vail, where we spent the next couple of days skiing.  Here's Alex relaxing in the condo we rented.

We got home on Christmas Eve.  Here's Alex in front of the tree.

A week after the first snowstorm we were hit with another foot of snow.  Here's the view from our back yard the following day.

The day after the storm Martin hiked up Bear Peak, just outside Boulder. The next few pictures were taken on that hike.
